The Shed is now CLOSED and all the equipment from this place is now located in our studio which is a house converted to a studio,store room and reception.

PHFM in Peak Hill is NOW broadcasting from our new premises at 1 Fraser Street Peak Hill,at a power output of 1.2watts and we can be heard throught Peak Hill and surrounding areas,with a good antenna.We broadcast 24/7 on a frequency of 88:00FM which is the bottom end of the FM band. The FM band is from 87.5Mhz to 108:00Mhz

PHFM....88:00FM is a small Volunteer Community/Tourist Radio station licated in the small village of Peak Hill,mid way between Parkes & Dubbo,Central West New South Wales on the east coast Of Australia.Peak Hill has a population of approximately 986 in town and withina 30 kilometer radius the population would be approx 1285,which consists of small business,farms and also sheep farms.Many people out here are also farmers of wheat,bali,canola and other products.

The motto of PHFM is COMMONGROUNDCOMMONSENSE which means we are all on Commonground and we should ALL have commonsense.
For those NOT familar with our nice clean little town,we are approx 48-55kilometers north of Parkes and approx 75 kilometers south of Dubbo located on the Newell Highway.
PHFM was a dream some 5-6 years ago,to supply Peak Hill,with news,sport,views,information and music for the townsfolk,the farmers,the truckers,the tourists and also the people that are just passing thru.The station has become a BIG integral part of the town promoting both local,Parkes,Dubbo,Trundle,Tullamore,Tomingley and Trewilga functions for all that are interested.
We have th Open Cut Experiance here in town,which is open 7 days per week from 9:00am to 4:00pm and it is FREE to access this site.We also have the Carrington Hotel which unfortunately isnt open for tourists,and dosent look like been open for a whilt to come.
We as PHFM support and assist the local Rugby league Club,the Peak Hill Roosters,which are sponsored by D & B Meats (local butcher) and also Zaiden Welding (local welding business)
In town we have two clubs,(these clubs offer chinese take away and eat in for 6 days of the week)two caravan parks,three motels,a police station,a newsagent,a postoffice,a supermarket,two ladies hairdressers,a mens hairdresser,three coffee shops ( two open 7 days a week) we also have three take away open 7 days a week,two servos open 7 days a week,two mechanics  that are open 6 days a week.We also have a hotel that is open 6 days a week,with lunch  and dinner .There is a clothing shop,a Vinnies, three Country Craft & Visitor Information Centres open all different times of the week and many other co-operatives as well.Check out the PHFM web site or the parkes Council web site for more information.
